Data Deletion Policy

At Twined, we respect your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can temporarily deactivate or permanently delete their accounts and associated data.

Users can delete their account in two ways: temporary deletion, which deactivates the account immediately, or permanent deletion, which is reviewed and processed by our team within 24 hours.

1. Temporary Account Deletion (Deactivation)

Users may choose to temporarily delete or deactivate their account directly through the Twined app.

When a user selects temporary deletion:

  • The account is immediately deactivated.
  • The profile becomes inaccessible.
  • The account will no longer be visible to other users.
  • The user may be able to reactivate the account later by logging back in, depending on Twined account settings.

This action happens instantly after confirmation.

2. Permanent Account Deletion

Users may also request permanent deletion of their account and personal data.

When a permanent deletion request is submitted:

  • The request is sent to the Twined team.
  • Our team reviews and approves the deletion request.
  • The account and associated personal data are permanently deleted within 24 hours.
  • Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.

3. Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon permanent deletion, we may remove:

  • Profile information
  • Photos and uploaded content
  • Messages and chats
  • Account preferences
  • Activity history
  • Any other personal information linked to the user account

4. Data We May Retain

Certain information may be retained for a limited period when required for legal, security, or operational reasons, including:

  • Legal compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security investigations
  • Dispute resolution
  • Enforcement of our policies

Any retained data will only be stored as long as necessary.

5. How to Request Deletion

Users can request permanent deletion by:

  • Going to Account Settings → Delete Account inside the Twined app.
  • Selecting Permanent Deletion Request.

Users may also contact us directly to request deletion.
